Hi! My name is Jenna and I am a costume designer, stitcher, technician, artist, and educator. I grew up in Medfield, Massachusetts, and am currently living in St. Pete Beach, Florida. As a kid, I always had an interest in all things creative. I was taught how to sew at the age of five by my grandmother, who was a quilter. I always loved getting dressed up, drawing, music, and reading. I decided at a young age that I wanted to be a fashion designer when I grew up.
I first found an interest in theatre at 13. I wasn't the kind of kid that wanted to perform, I felt pulled to technical theatre. From there, I decided to combine my interests in theatre and clothing, and started on the path to becoming a designer.
I began taking costuming classes at Creative Arts at Park and then joined the Medfield High School Theatre Society in my sophomore year of high school. These groups allowed my interest in costume design to flourish and introduced me to a whole new community of artists.
I am a 2024 graduate of Shenandoah University's Theatre Design in Production program. I graduated with an emphasis in Costume Design. In my time as a student, I worked in the costume shop as a workstudy and was a member of Alpha Psi Omega, a National Theatre Honor Service Society. In my 4 years I have worked on almost every single show that has passed through the costume shop (4 a semester) and participated in multiple student-led productions.
From 2022 to 2023, I worked as the Head of Costumes at Creative Arts at Park. I taught children ages 11-15 how to sew and foster their interest in costuming, as well as designing and overseeing the production of the summer's shows.
